Florida Hospital Women’s Tower Opening

Florida Hospital’s Women’s Tower will open its doors January 21st, 2016, at 601 E. Rollins St. in Orlando.

Florida Hospital for Women is a 12-story, 332-bed hospital that will offer obstetrics, gynecology, a level-three NICU, mental health, oncology, breast care, and the region’s first comprehensive program for soon-to-be and new mothers suffering depression and other mood disorders.

Florida Hospital for Women will offer a comprehensive healing experience for women of all ages, the convenience of the downtown Orlando location, and some of the area’s most advanced technology. In addition, women’s health navigators, birth coordinators and a dedicated women’s chaplain will be available to patients and their family members.

Florida Hospital Wins NOVA Award

Florida Hospital has won the NOVA award from The American Hospital Association (AHA) for our innovation and patient-centered care!

Each year, the AHA recognizes hospitals and other organizations for their achievements in quality, community health, palliative care, and health IT.

The “NOVA Award” is given to up to five programs that seek to improve health at the community level “by looking beyond patients’ physical ailments, rooting out the economic and social barriers to care and collaborating with other community stakeholders.”

Florida Hospital Kissimmee

FH Kissimmee Celebrates Newly Expanded ED

Florida Hospital Kissimmee opened its doors to the newly expanded Emergency Department on Thursday. This expansion has more than doubled the bed count and has tripled the size to more than 22,000 square feet.  Among the features of the bigger ED are child-friendly rooms, enhanced waiting areas, and better use of natural lighting.

Hospital leaders say this shows how Florida Hospital Kissimmee is committed to meeting the needs of the growing Osceola County community.

“Our primary service area is estimated to grow nearly ten percent in the next five years,” says Administrator JeffVillanueva. “With this expansion we were not only planning for today but also to meet the future health needs of Osceola County.”

Florida Hospital Kissimmee is also building a new patient tower that will feature 80 patient beds and is scheduled to open in the summer of 2015.
