AdventHealth broke ground on the Lake Nona ER, June 5, with an expected opening of summer 2020. The one-story, 19,000-square-foot facility will have 24 patient rooms including two pediatric-friendly rooms to make visits more inviting for young patients and will offer services such as respiratory therapy, diagnostic imaging, CT scans, X-ray and ultrasound, and a full-service laboratory.

 

A comprehensive clinical team of approximately 100 members including board-certified emergency physicians and nurses will staff the ER. The new ER facility will be part of a larger effort to bring emergency care close to home for residents across Central Florida, no matter where they live. This ER will complement AdventHealth’s existing footprint in Lake Nona, that includes CentraCare and AdventHealth Medical Group practices.
